Margaret Murie was truly one of the great ones, and she wrote a hell of a good book... Two in the Far North amazon.com Back in 1986 I visited ANWR for a week. Later I realized that one of the people on my trip was mentioned in her book. He was the pilot of the plane that crash-landed at the end of the book. They survived.
