our system for medicare will not pay for at home care , crazy.. it has limits for at home but go to a nursing home and different rules.. presently bills being worked on in congress to change the coverage to about the same limits or maybe something in the middle to cover monthly expenses.. right now care taker would end up eating most of costs but under new bill i believe they would be covered for most expenses vs nursing home... Of course then at nursing home you got a ton of out of pocket costs for room and board.. very few can afford it.. most mid tax payers take mom and dad's money and hide it in the family and then put the parents on welfare to qualify for medicare for nursing home and gov picks up all the bills... Seems these people think it is their right to screw the tax payers .. and keep mom and dad's savings. I have seen millionaires on welfare and the kid running around with the bucks.. As long as you transfer money before five years of entering a nursing home it is legal ... .. Who says we don't have socialized medicine. ggg
