Like I said before, I've never listened to Rush on the radio. The only time I heard him was when he was on that NFL show on ESPN. He spoke his opinions on politics and like with everything else, people had a choice whether to pay attention to what he said or not. To act like he was a definitive spokeperson for the all republicans is just silly. Furthermore all the attacks on him after his ordeal were just silly partisan petty jabs from desperate democrats.

Rush carries influence with any fair minded person who believes in American values. The more fair minded and the more honest, the more influence he has. I don't associate honesty and fair mindedness with right and extreme right. But clearly you apparently do.

I don't consider Hannity as fair minded and O'Rielly is stupid quite often.
