The most powerful seasonable (FOSBACK special) up time in the markets is coming up after October into the first week of January.

Barring the Taliban and a major Intel nasty I don't see how they can hold back AMDs stock.

Jim

PS...Still waiting for the Intel nasty....64 bit Prescott?

"I think AMD will have a very good day tomorrow. Of course I subscribe to that voodoo world of TA and could easily be wrong."

Hope you are right, but some of the oscillators are verging on overbought signals. May need to cool out for a short while (although that does seem to be what AMD has done since its earnings release)before jumping to that $17 to $20 range. (No matter, the day to day, as short, medium and long term AMD indicators are pointing straight up!)

"Just jumped back into my high tech fund of my retirement account. This market just refuses to go down for very long."

Couldn't agree more. The analysts who are suggesting that Nas has gained too much too fast and are using the low point of Nas as the base for their percentage calculations are way off base. Five years ago, when techs were entering their earnings phase the Nas was at 2000 and proceeded to 5000 in less than 2 years and interest rates were much higher than current levels...Four years ago, when AMD entered its earnings phase, the Nas was at 3000.

What I'm getting at is, that this cycle, for reasons cited this AM, may be much more powerful and longer lasting than the last one which carried the Nas to 5000, and with respect to AMD, it is entering its earnings phase at a Nas of 1950 rather than 3000, so looks to be getting out of the blocks earlier in this cycle!

Those semi companies that are favourably positioned right now could well reap the benefits of the greatest semi-cycle in history, that we are just now entering.

As far as I can ascertain, AMD couldn't be more well positioned in both flash and cpu spaces!
