Or it could simply be an ill-timed sale, before the latest run-up. I've witnessed (on other boards) old-time longs turn viciously negative (on no new fundamental news) when they attempted to time the market, messed up, and missed out on a big run. Then, out of bitterness, it's all gloom and doom, and most of the time, they don't want to admit that they're no longer long. I think they feel that perhaps they can talk the stock down, so they can hop in again, or something.

Anyhow, we're probably boring the rest of the thread with this topic by now.
