I'm an agnostic, I think, which means to me that I don't know. Nor am I making any further effort to know, although I wouldn't discard an insight that fell into my lap. And, further, this lack of knowledge doesn't trouble me a bit because it doesn't matter a bit in my life.

Unlike an atheist, I have no belief that there is no God, I am simply unpersuaded that there likely is one.

I find my approach quite rational, more rational than believing one way or the other on sparse evidence. Of course, others are free to take a less rational approach if they so choose. We are all entitled to our beliefs. <g>
