I'll tell you what Jacob.. If waging war on Islamo-Fascist militants equates to a "crusade", then so be it..

But I haven't seen anything Bush has done which suggests his goal is to overthrow Islam as a religion, or to throw the "infidels" out of the "holy land"...

Certainly not the kind of Jihad the militants are proposing, namely to overthrow and conquer the western Christian/Secular nations and establish Sharia around the globe.

Crusades are well established in political/military jargon and no longer have anything to do with religion. An example would be Dwight D. Eisenhower's "Great Crusade" speech prior to D-Day:
