with the reviewer sites comparing the 32 bit performance of the AMD64 and Intel32 chips, Intel has already won without Prescott. Intel doesn't need 64 yet.

But reviews show AMD64 CPUs beating shipping 32 bit Intel CPUs running 32 bit code. So it is not a bad position for AMD to be in, performance-wise.

Nope, not until there is a windows with 64 bit extensions and some 64 bit apps to run on it....

So while we wait who knows what Intel is doing behind closed doors.
