Ted, One of his many religious comments was that God intervened on behalf of Bush and got him elected. I don't think that's appropriate comments from the Undersecretary of Defense.

You could always look at it from this point-of-view. God wanted to punish America by getting Bush elected. ;-)

There's always a higher viewpoint.

Frankly, I don't find it funny but instead.....kind of weird. I had a roommate for a while in college who kept waiting for the rapture to happen. One day he told me I had to stay in the dorm.....that the rapture was coming that day. He was already to see God. He was shattered when it didn't happen.

Religious fundamentalism really unnerves me whether its OBL or this general. Religious fanaticism is responsible for so many of the world's worse tragedies.........the Crusades, the Spanish Inquisition, the suicide bombers, 9/11, the Zionist terrorist groups of the 1930's and 40's......the list goes on and on.

That's why it really disturbs me when a general and a member of the gov't becomes a holy roller and spouts religion.
