The basic question, that you do not seem to understand, is, are the Iraqi people better off now or when they were being brutalized by Saddam?

That may be your basic question but it's not mine. Plus the question presents problems. Problem number one is that it's not over yet regardless of what GWB says. Problem number two is that you've given no measurement parameters. Problem number three is that Iraq was under a very strict embargo for many years so you can't blame all of their woes on Sadaam, like it or not. Better off now? I'd have to say, "I don't know." I'm waiting for the final score; it seems we've gone to extra innings.

<No, but that seems to be the only way to get someone's attention sometimes. The basic question, that you do not seem to understand, is, are the Iraqi people better off now or when they were being brutalized by Saddam? >..........you tell us........I never got a chance to get over to Iraq pre-invasion..... killing & maiming women & children is another issue.
