Hi Pat,

Re: Boykin is as insane as the crazies that placed him in that position. --

Don Rumsfeld held a briefing today and announced that there would be an Inspector General's investigation into the Boykin comments. When pressed as to whether it would be the Army I.G. or the DoD I.G., he waffled. But it looks like it goes through the Army first, then the Department. More chances to stretch out the investigation in the hope that the public will forget about the incident, I imagine.

Rumsfeld also engaged in some stunning bafflegab about seeing a news report quoting Boykin on a TV screen, but Rumsfeld not being able to grasp Boykin's words aurally or in the captions provided. Truly, a most interesting and comprehensive loss of ability to comprehend English. <g>

I had an ahhaha! moment when I read this Buzzflash reader comment on why Condy Rice has been put in charge of Iraqi reconstruction:

Bottom line? It's a secret....

I have to grudgingly admire the complete deviousness of the Bushistas.

If Boykin had criticized Sharon or Israel's Jews, Boykin would have lost his job.
Boykin is safe though because he criticized Islam.
