What other way of sending help would you suggest .... trade with them? .... hard to say what they've got to trade, outside of drugs and weapons too big to fit in the boot of one's car ....

Tourism maybe, send them help in the form of fat people in flashy shirts, carrying credit cards ... i propose this for Cuba, an invasion that will relentlessly wear down their will to resist, by making contact all over the country, every day in every way ... 'a thousand points of litter', you might say ..... but it would work fine, and last weekend a number of US travel agents disobeyed their guvmint's absurd and unconstitutional prohibition against going to Cuba, they went there to discuss this very matter with that island's dickhead du jour [du siecle?] ..... they'd like to get ready for when the stupid blockade finally comes off ..... there was one article where cubanos were interviewed, they liked the idea of the money but thought their culture would get watered down with so many tourists .... which it will of course, in time ...... big building boom coming though, there are only 40k hotel rooms in Cuba, they keep close to full all the time, a restoration of the right of the US citizen to go where he wishes could instantly double traffic, or more .... woops, got off the subject ... well maybe not, tourism may not be out of the question? ..... i can see the ads in National Geographic now, 'Come to the Glorious People's Republik, Experience Slavery First-Hand, all major credit cards accepted'
