Darleen > Religion is in a constant process of evolving. The base of all is moral value that is law that governs society

Unfortunately, that's your interpretation but that is not religion. In fact, and with respect, what you have said sounds more like politics. To a true believer, the bible, the koran or the torah is not subject to opinion or to whim or any process of evolution. The original instructions as conveyed to Moses, to the Disciples or to Mohammed have to be carried out to the letter because that is the Word of God.

Religion is not about being good or being up-to-date or being self-righteous or being pious but about following instructions. If one wants to belong, one must obey. Period. Religion, in fact, is about the law as written in the book of rules. It may also be about morality but that is secondary.

Here is the Latin definition of religion which leaves no doubt as to what religion is about.

>>>religio (relligio) -onis f. , of persons, [scrupulousness, conscientious exactness]; esp. [religious scruple, awe, superstition, strict observance]; in gen. [moral scruples, conscientiousness]; of gods, etc., [sanctity]; [an object of worship, holy thing or place].

religiosus (relligiosus) -a -um of persons , [scrupulous, conscientious; holy, strict, superstitious]; of actions, either [required] or [forbidden by religion]; of gods, etc. [holy, sacred]. Adv. religiose, [conscientiously, scrupulously; religiously].<<<

Believe it or not.
