The hospice may be providing her care gratis, but the money is coming from somewhere. The staff still need to be paid, the food and medical supplies bought, the sheets changed, etc. One sort of wonders, or at least I wonder, why the hospice is doing this. I admit that I have a suspicion that much altruism actually is concealed self interest. Cynical of me, I know, but . . .
