if he broke a military rule, he should face the consequences. if he truly stated that we are engaged in a religious war, then he should face the consequences. to state that we do not go to war on the basis of what our country believes is right and wrong would be ludicrous....

i do not believe, nor does anyone with whom i associate, that this is a religious war. are the terrorists "evil"? sure. should i, as a religious person, be concerned with that particular evil as well as others who perpetrate purely evil acts in society? sure. should we act on such beliefs? certainly? if my next door neighbor was molesting his step-daughter, should i act against this evil (within the law)? yes. do you have a point, bob? i do believe, that in my religious faith, i should not be passive when known harm is being done against the innocent. i'll let you decide what you should do with your beliefs.
