No, it isn't. Women gained freedom when the back of the Church was broken and secular values were substituted. The Church's policy on women requires no comment. The scriptures are myriad. We only overcame them in the last century. And other religions still treat women as slaves in accordance with Holy Scripture.

Hello? Is anybody home? I have tried very carefully to admit to the barbarism of superstition. I have shown how science, medicine, and philosophy were suffocated by the sword and sceptre of the Church--and how their champions were drawn and quartered in front of the King and the Priest. Should we pretend that such common knowledge is debatable?
