"I have read a lot of Thomas Aquinas"

Your dependance on logical fallacies to "buttress" your arguments are becoming tired. I was reading Aquinas long before you were, my friend. The point is that his brilliance was constrained and channeled by the superstitions of the Church and thus contributed in a HUGE measure to the placement of natural science on the back burner of human progress.

This is not about slighting individuals who tried within their intellectual framework to push the envelope of knowledge. It is about acknowledging how a superstitious and unscientific paradigm served to chain the efforts of humanity to civilize itself intellectually and socially. Can you understand that distinction?
