I understand the difference in perspective that comes from being the fifth or thirteenth or fortieth man. I get that just fine. But that doesn't have anything to do with my question, which is one of critical mass, scarcity of resources, and tipping points. There is nothing unholy about triage, I don't think. Would you keep filling the boat until it sank and everyone drowned? That's a valid question. I'm not pressing for an answer. Perhaps the question is enough to make the point.
