That is good point. Hell think about all the boxes of money found. People were starving and millions and millions were hidden in boxes. That does make all the whinning of binnie and saddam look silly. And those who argue such are revealed as quite stupid.

And the Kay report shows clearly saddam was in violation of 1441 and had no intention of ever changing his way of doing murder rape and torture for personal power.

Bald Eagle,

How this started, is CC wrote: "So Sadaam is a monster. He ought to be locked-up forever and a day. But tell me what the Iraqi people did to deserve invasion and death and destruction."

I replied: "Why don't you tell me how many people died as a result of "Operation Iraqi Freedom", then tell me how many people died as a result of UN Sanctions, then tell me how many people were killed by Saddam as a result of his numerous pogroms."

MSI then said: "There is significant suspicious of the body counts and mass graves being given the show-and-tell to selected Congressmen....The more repugnant the statistic, the more easy the deception, since no one wants to look into it any further than necessary."

I then replied that even: "both bin Laden and Saddam claim over a million dead as a result of Sanctions."

MSI then said:"Madeline Albright said 500,000 child deaths were "worth it".
Seems like such a nice lady too."

I told MSI: "Albright understood that Saddam was responsible for killing those 500,000 children, on his own, that he (Saddam) deliberately starved people, and blamed it on the UN and United States. Saddam's revenge against his domestic enemies.
She also knew that in order to make Saddam stop, the United States would have to invade and remove Saddam from power"

You are correct, on this point: Whether it was 250,000 or 2,000,000 the deaths (blamed on Sanctions) were the result of Saddams actions. Not the fault of the UN Security Council or President Clinton. For Saddam, it was just another one of his several pogroms. It was Saddam who killed those people, then blamed them on the UN and the States.
Bin Laden blamed those deaths on the UN and Americans, because he didn't like the fact that U.S. troops were stationed in Saudi Arabia, or the fact that American troops were actively opposing a moslem (dictator). Sorry if my meaning was not clear and understandable.

But yes, I believe that a lot of people were killed by Saddam during the period of time when the U.S. was enforcing UN Sanctions on Iraq.

re:"And you expect us to believe them? How about all the money spent on extravagant palaces that could have helped to save those dead? That and the rest of Saddam's policies (if you can can call them that)were the real cause of hardship in Iraq. You are obviously an enemy of the free world."
