Yeah, I thought the blogger would be amused by your conspiracy mongering.

I got an email address now if you're interested.

Well, Bilow - I did exchange emails just now with the Jessicaswell admin and he asked me to pass this on:

Jessica's Well Site Admin Responds

Mr. Bilow:

I am a republican.

I am from Midland.....was that ever an issue? Jeez, the website says Midland on the masthead for God's sake.

I am conservative. Again. Was this ever an issue?

I voted for Bush. I will do so again.

I contributed to his campaign. $500. Most I have given a candidate ever. I think you can look it up.

I own the exploration company of which you speak. It employs zero people, is only family held, has no international concessions, and no bidless contracts in Iraq or anywhere else. Basically, we participate in Permian Basin area
(West Texas) wells that are drilled by other companies.

The lady who was the Counsel for the Company was my sister. She was active in the republican party, but left politics around 1990. She did get appointed by then-governor George W. Bush to the Texas Council for Arts and humanities...probably for past service to the party, sure. She has been dead for more than three years and has been out of contact with Karl Rove for at least that long. George W. Bush did not see to it that she was buried at Arlington National Cemetery...in case you were wondering.

Douglas Heck & Burrell is not me. Rather it appears to be a huge Australian accounting firm. I think that Douglas and Heck and Burrell in this case are all last names, but I am not sure. Did you just type the name into Google and decide that anything that comes up is tied to me?

Re: "Douglas Heck was sufficiently tied in to the Republican party that he was appointed to two ambassador positions by Nixon or Ford. He is wealthy as hell." If this is the case then I would be the only 14-year old ever to be named an ambassador. I am 44 now. In case you are parsing my words, let me re-state: I have no relatives who have ever held an ambassadorship.

Re: "You thought that Jessica was some conservative woman who happened to live in Midland, and didn't want to be bothered by kooks. The fact is that Jessica's well is an oil well, and Heck's original application for the domain name was filed using false information."

Good Lord. There never was a blog poster named Jessica. I post under the title "Site Admin". Jessica's Well is not an oil well. It is a reference to Jessica McClure, the little girl who fell down the well in....again, more slowly....M-i-d-l-a-n-d, T-e-x-a-s. IT IS ALL RIGHT THERE ON THE SITE, SHERLOCK.

And what ever made me think that I would be bothered by kooks I'll never know.

My ties to George Bush:

I have actually had two conversations with George W. Bush. One in 1991 when he still ran the Rangers and one at a wedding reception (no, not mine or a relative's) in Midland in 1997 when he was still only the Governor of Texas.
The number of people from Midland who can claim at least this level of contact is large.

The Bush administration did not have me start the blog in March of 2002 with a post complaining about the expense of the local stadium with an eye towards me being able to slip in this Life article when I did. Moreover, the blogosphere is chock full of conservative bloggers (not even tied to
Midland)with already major levels of traffic who would have killed to have been able to make that post and would have surely done so if provided with the info. But they didn't find that article. I did. I really own that copy.
I am a fan of WWII history and when I saw the sentence "While we have swept away Hitlerism, many Europeans think that the cure is worse than the disease" in an article just 6 months after WWII ended I was taken aback. I posted on it on my personal blog. End of story.

Why the odd names on the domain registration? Simple. It is a small town, and I didn't want to have the same discussion fifty times over about why I am being too hard on the damned chamber of commerce. Oh, yeah, and that part about the kooks. Kooks like you, Bilow, that read one post, do two WhoIs and three Google searches, and begin draping on me the ownership of major domestic oil companies, giant international accounting firms, not one but two ambassadorships to God knows where, make me either a spymaster for or the dupe of the current administration, and generally place me at the center of some grand administration conspiracy to keep the populace ignorant and
angry.......all just because I made that post.

One more thing Mr. Bilow: If you think that this 'rat' is scurrying from you, I can certainly disabuse you of that notion. Just give me a call. You have the number.
