"Well, countering with an insult,...

You can drop the phoney victim act or you can bolster it, I don't care. ... You levied a personal attack and I called you on your dishonor, which is blatant in nearly every post. If you consider that a personal attack then I can only conclude that you don't like your self much and would prefer that no one noticed.

"...we have built in a process where money and influence control medical decision making. "

Talk to kholt. I believe her complaint was about socialism.

"we have built in a process where money and influence control medical decision making"

Power will never be an equality. We must work on compassion as the equalizer in life. In other words..we must share power voluntarily because we truly value others.

Of course, we do that already (especially with spouse, children, and friends). We just ought to do it a bit better...

"We cannot afford, as a society, to provide every possible medical intervention for every possible citizen. We simply can't do it. Some people will have to do without some medical services."

So what?

It has never been a problem that every possible citizen does not receive every possible medical intervention. Some of us are healthy and any medical intervention would be disadvantagious. Some people (who need it) already do with out some medical services. Some medical services have become available and affordable because of the capitalistic ventures by people who wanted to spend a lot of their resources on it in the past.

Socialized medicine limits spending, research, development, and services.
