The president never has unlimited power. Also, you dont call the president a liar until after he proves it's true. He promised to go with the UN like his father did and only go to war as a last result. We had our doubts but we decided to trust him. Voting against the war powers would have been a gift to Saddam. At least it was necessary to bluff Saddam and surround him with troops. Otherwise he never would have even let in UN inspectors. Dont be naive. Saddam was deadly dangerous. But as it turned out, an imminent threat, no. Bush's worst mistake though was his lack of diplomacy and failure to plan for after the invasion. The invasion itself is still popular with most Americans, but the piss poor inept planning there was no excuse for.
