Why would we want a single payer healthcare system that guarantees healthcare for every citizen when we can continue to have this great private system that most people can't afford and those that can, don't even get their choice of doctors? Why should anyone get something they can't afford? And these doctors know more than we do, so let them choose the doctor. The current system has lots of layers, and most of your healthcare premium money goes to the shareholders of private HMO's and other healthcare corporations. Not only do you pay these nice people, but they are also experts in billing every cent the government allows when you are covered by social security, medicare and medicaid. They do all of that for you for a minimum charge. You can see what a good job they are doing by reading the company's earnings reports and statements to the shareholders. Seems that the more they deliver to their shareholders the less they have to deliver in actual health care services. That's less for you to worry about. So what do you want, some leftist socialized medicine or honest to goodness corporations which will look out for your every need? Some of them do use "Enron" style accounting, but is that any reason to throw out the baby with the bath water? That bitch Hillary and her stupid healthcare crap keeps coming back. When will these demohacks figure it out that we want the kind of healthcare that these big corporations tell us we need!? Orca
