I hate to state the obvious, but Bush hasn't "shown... and clear out when the job is done". You're kidding, right? It is beyond imagination that an administration could have handled the situation in Iraq better. We are creating a government in a country with the population of Canada. From scratch. Setting up an entire government. Complete with everything from mints to zip codes. Military to police force. I continue to be amazed at the progress. And this is six months down the road. A year or two from now, we'll have a presence, but it is pretty clear it won't be anywhere near today's presence. Five years from now, we may be out altogether. "You're kidding, right?" Actually, I think that question needs to be addressed to you. From your hero's lips: Among Rumsfeld's observations in the two-page memo: • The United States is "just getting started" in fighting the Iraq-based terror group Ansar Al-Islam. • The war is hugely expensive. Hmmmmmmm......sounds like a new one. How much you want to bet its been formed since the war. But you said the Iraqis love us. Yeah, I guess we shouldn't listen to you. Rumsfeld says we are "just getting started" fighting ansar al-Islam. But you said resistance is limited and getting less. Could you be full of ____? And why hasn't this been reported to the American citizenry? How many secrets are beign kept from the public? We know how much conservatives like to keep secrets. "The war is hugely expensive!" No surprise there.......but wasn't it Rumsfeld last Fall who said it could be done on the cheap. Yeah, I think so. "But it will a long, hard slog". Well, there you have it.......we don't have to wait two years. We know now........and you are wrong once again. Funny, all your great heroes are coming to the same conclusions that I came to..........LAST FALL! <font color=blue>STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES!<font color=black> Amazing. Just amazing. Do you want to know what's amazing? What's amazing is how you try to spin the current situation in Iraq like Fox News! Fox has no choice......it is the mouthpiece for the White House but you are a free soul. You continue to embarrass yourself like you did last fall when you said this would be cake......that there would be no urban guerilla warfare. You have been wrong from the get go. You need to cut your losses. Only someone with a short IQ, or not playing with a full deck could possibly find your output creditable. And let me remind you......this memo was leaked. Rumsfeld's own staff can't stand him!
