First, it's in Arabic, a language that the French are unlikely to code their equipment with.

Second, it's hand written, hardly an indication of a real manufacturing line.

If they want to prove stuff was recently made, it's easy enough to break it apart, and snag a date code off of a standard electronic part. Oh, and the Frenchies may "fight with their feet, and **** with their faces", but despite these perversions, their semi companies use the same 4 digit date codes we do. Ammunition makers, by contrast, tend to use specialized codes that require a manual to translate. For example:
