A purely anti-war candidate cannot win the general election. The polls still show people prefer someone who questions Bush but was not against ANY war against Saddam.
The polls prior to the war were the same. They were fine with taking on Saddam but wanted to take more time to build coalitions and plan. Exactly Kerry's view.
Even with all the deceptions, most Americans don't want a passive anti-military type in power. Dean gets most of his support from that wing of the Dem party.
