Have you been combat?
Sounds like something you read on a website

Spines of steel come from combat. Once you've been through combat, the political stress of DC is nothing

I'm not impressed. "Spines of steel" would have been better demonstrated by legislative courage than claims in a website.

What I'm looking for is rationale for future policy. I understand what Dean would do, the kind of people he would attract to his administration, but Kerry looks like a soft and definitely non-steel spine. But I'll read his website and see if there are answers to my doubts on his flip-flops.
