Ah... then as an aside... I have long been fascinated by the relationship between managing resources and visionary leadership. A visionary is tasked with defining the future. This directly contradicts the role of the manager who is tasked with controlling resources according to their ordered definition. An organization that does not arrange resources in a way that accommodates change, growth, and development in an evolving society, soon dies of atrophy. One that allows resources to be over stretched dies of the resulting deficits. The tendency of a manager is to resist change that disrupts the order of things, where as, the tendency of a visionary is to destroy what exists in order to move things along.
