Clinton and democrats like Kerry funded our current military. Everything we have now was funded, trained and planned over the past five to ten years. Almost none of it was developed since Bush came into power. So if Democrats voted against all those programs they wouldn't be there. Nice try though.

You probably mean that he voted against specific bills which may have included these details. As you know in DC, bills with many good and useful things in them are packed with pork, waste and useless items. So the smart thing is to vote against them until the pork is taken out.

Also, you cannot compare the post-Reagan post-Cold War era to now. At that time cutting defense spending was a good wise thing. Reagan had built up TOO MUCH, more than we could use anymore. Bases had to be closed and deficits needed to be paid off. Bush Sr. raised taxes (against his pledge) to help pay off the deficits. A big chunk of those deficits came from the S+L debacle which was a Reagan program.

Kerry's complete voting record, including many votes YES for defense funding. Of course the RNC attack squad picks out only the times he voted against certain defense bills.
There was probably a smart reason for every one of those votes. Your post makes it look like he's for axing all those weapon systems. So dishonest. He voted for GW's big defense spendign increases. If he were a dove he'd have voted no. That was the biggest spending increase in history.
