I was encouraged by today's respectable close in the US markets given the weakness in Asia, Europe, and the decline in the S&P 500 futures at the open. That indicates that buyers are still coming into stocks on dips. The question is how many times stocks can gap lower before the buyers give up, or worse turn into sellers. I don't think the buyers are done yet. Nothing has changed in the positive outlook for the economy. Some stock prices might have gotten ahead of themselves, but they have corrected some of the excesses the last few days. Maybe a little more downside, consolidate, and then up again? I plan to continue phasing into CSCO. The stock almost always fills its gaps, and this correction too shall pass.
