no, they met their numbers using deferred revenue and some investment income. The deferred revs took a hit.

Microsoft said Enterprise License Renewal under expectataions resulting in a draw down of unearned revenue. Enterprise customers are not renewing their microsoft corporate licenses.

Longhorn won't be ready for 4 years so why renew! (somebody asked this.)

I think the combination of Linux in the US, and offshoring IT which also results in heavy Linux usage offshore is really hurting msft. I knew they were going to take a hit from Linux, but I didn't think it would start so soon.
