Thanks for all that. I am a pessimist at heart, so I tend to lean towards all bubbles bursting rather than slowly deflating, but that's just me. We will see pretty soon in any case...

Thailand sounds great. Here in Monte-Carlo, a studio sells for slightly under EUR 1 million and considerably over it if it has a itsy bitsy sea view from afar. Don't ask the cost of an apartment that could comfortably house a family of four...

We've got massages on the beach, too, but they charge something like EUR 30/hour. A big difference, to be sure.
