I actually thought the difference between jrhana's report of what Randy Reiffel very straightforwardly seemed to be saying and Marc Henderson's "Can't understand what all the fuss is about" nonsense was rather marked. This is true whatever the merits of AQI's concerns about IMR. Disingenuity is the bane of modern public discourse. Don't knock it.

Maybe I am being too pedantic here. Another explaination for the softpedalling is that he knows he has put his foot in it and wants to settle this fast. But will he help to achieve this - if that is his intention - by minimizing the damage this has done to IMR or blaming things on their reaction? In the meantime IMR up; AQI down again (and CKG on fire !) (If this does get quickly settled IMR in particular looks very cheap don't you think?)
