More want Arafat, a man who is incapable at best, a terrorist at worst, to stay around despite the mess he helped to create in many ways. Meanwhile, the U.N. continues to pass resolution after resolution without any action whatsoever. The net effect is that the status quo is preserved. Israelis still get killed by suicide bombers, and Palestinians still suffer under occupation. Sharon is under constant international pressure to hold back, while Hamas and Islamic Jihad are given free passes. Do you have any idea how many UN resolutions Israel has ignored. On 29 November, 2003, the UN authorized the partitioning of Palestine into a Jewish state, an Arab state and an international zone. Fifty years later, and Israel won't allow the Arab state come into existence. Why? For their own personal gain. ted

You must be a disciple of Jerry Falwell. Meanwhile, the U.N. continues to pass resolution after resolution without any action whatsoever. On 30 of 96 occasions the US has vetoed UN resolutions critical of Israel for actions ranging from land grabbing to ethnic cleansing. Now, seeing as how the US is, you know, the most powerful nation on earth, and squarely and biasedly on the side of Israel no matter what the hell it does, you can understand how the UN could be, shall we say, "impotent" on the matter? Now you tell me what the U.N. has done to protect Israel from such terrorists. It continues to pass resolution after resolution without any action whatsoever. Isreal continues to grab land that the UN never gave them and the Palestinians retaliate in any desperate way they can...while america keeps shipping weapons and money to sharon who uses it to kill palestinians who then hate americans for it and whose simpatizers (that's like 99% of all arabs) fly jets into our buildings. Oh, by the way, my guess is that same sharon probably also thinks that this christian notion of a second coming and palestine returning to be the seat of christianity with all that implies is uttermost idiocy, but who also realizes that, as long as the F15s and blackhawks full of dollars keep coming, it's probably ok to let the morons delude themselves.
