The point is that Rush is not even a political candidate, can you imagine Bush making a bunch of speeches bashing Michael Mooorer. Neither one is relevant to a political campaign, IMO.

Rush Limbaugh is fair game to be bashed considering all the bashing he's done over the years. Live by the sword, die by it.

I agree with that statement 100 percent. It's really a question of human decency. To point out his hypocrisy, the backfiring of his holier-than-thou style, is certainly fair game in my opinion. Where I draw the line, though, is at laughing at the person because of his medical condition.

The experts say Rush may never be able to truly kick this habit, but will have to fight his addiction every day for the rest of his life. His 30-day plan to recover is laughable

My understanding is that addiction experts view the breaking of all addictions to be a lifelong endeavor, not a 30-days-and-you're-free situation. But to laugh at someone, or find their statements "laughable", when they are trying to deal with a very serious medical condition is hardly the sort of compassionate moderate/liberal thought we would expect from someone like you.
