AMAT Late Report S 1600 15 This was an exercise of the 16 ANQJC [AMAT Oct 15 Calls] that I sold on 4/21/03 at $2. These were covered calls, netting me $17 on shares that cost me $16. When I wrote the covered call, AMAT was $14.75 and I was very happy to be locking in a small profit. My miscalculation was that I expected the usual seasonal pattern to hold (April peak and October trough). That was thrown off this year, perhaps by what some folks consider to be the end of the Iraqi war.
