Joe, On clock speeds, 2.4 to 2.6 GHz should be possible on 130nm.

How do you figure this? I'm not saying I disagree, just curious-- is it the overclocking results with both air-cooling and more advanced cooling that lead you to this?

In theory should 0.13 SOI clock higher than 0.13 bulk? Or is the limitation on the plain old 0.13 Athlons more to do with power dissipation at higher frequencies, which would otherwise be achievable?

Or is it the extra couple pipeline stages in the K8 that should allow a higher clock?

TIA,

Doug
