Just because the US is not as pure and righteous as it likes to portray itself, doesn't mean that isn't a benign force on the planet, compared to other countries' foreign policies - actual, not rhetorical, that is.

True. I never demonize(d) the USA as a nation. But for me it's no fun to read people like Hanson who mix some good with inappropriate, distorted, bizarre arguments. I should just put him back on mental ignore as I've done for some time.
