It is up to the people who is elected and what is his agenda isn't it? On every occasion media will remind you that this is what the "DEMOCRACY" is about. When the public outcry is too loud minorities rights can always serve rulers behind the scenes. Who knows how far moral standarts can be pushed and what the majority will have to accept in the name of "equal rights".
