Jacob,

Re: It is a measure of America's ongoing defeat, in the global HeartsAndMinds wars, that Hu and Mahathir get standing ovations, and Bush meets protests wherever he goes

I nonconcur. Wherever Bill Clinton goes, worldwide, he is met with an extremely enthusiastic reception. Clinton may well be the most popular politician on the planet.

In bleak contrast is the asshole who stole the White House. Bush is probably the most despised man on the planet today. And for good reason. He's an evil and despicable tyrant in training.

But Bush is not America. He's only a front man for the greedheads of the Business Roundtable and the Ad Council. He's merely a puppet on a string. And currently the multinational corporations seem to be overwhelmingly enthusiastic about selling fear, state terrorism and weapons. The sickness is not America. It lies within the evil heart of corporatism.
