Hell, I was convinced we needed to remove Saddam back in 1998 when Clinton was president. He just didn't have the balls to do anything proactive.

Most of the right would agree I think.


I guess some people need to be touched by the horror of war to really feel the weight of their statements and attitudes.

Clinton's failure to act was devastating. You can't just let other countries run over you and have them continue to respect your authority. Are other nations pissed at us now that we're claiming a right to defend ourselves? Hell, yes. After 8 years of the United States subrogating its authority to everyone from North Korea to Kofi Annan, sure they're a little pissed that we're taking back control.

Yes, the other nations of the world loved us when they could do as they damned well pleased without fear of retribution. Today, they feel a little confined by the fact that Bush may just decide to not take any crap off of them.

It's healthy.
