<Once that letter reached IMRs hands they had to disclose the contents to other parties involved in the financing>

Sounds like IMR is saying that AQI should have waited until after the financing to have sent the letter. I doubt that the potential participants in the financing would have agreed.

<Some forensic auditing and a arbitrator could clean this matter up quite quickly>

Absolutely agree would be to the benefit of both parties.

To my simple mind, AQI would be liable only if it could be proven that they new their potential claim was false and deliberately sent the letter to harm IMR. If they thought they reasonably might have a claim, how could they not have the right to request more information?

<It was not until this guy was in the position of losing his job and house that the matter was settled.>

Thank God I live here in Florida, where your homestead (as well as your retirement accounts)is protected. Your wages are also very difficult to attach.

Of course we can see it now. AQI officers are drinking Screech around the board room table. "Hey" says one, "I hear our arch enemy the evil Dr. Caligari and his henchmen at IMA are after money for that piece of schist we looked at a while back." "Hey! says someone else , "didn't what's his vest from Newmont mention that.". silence... "why I believe he did... and if he did.. why ...".. silence.. two voices shout in unison.. "It must be in the Newmont files.." racket is heard as room empties.. soon after the group convenes with some folders and over the hubub we hear, "yes yes, this must be it.. a small lead zinc occurence with minor silver values.. chip sampled.. 10 ounces per ton.." another voice "yes! we have them by the balls"

"Dictate a letter", a voice mirthfully intones.. "when they get this what will they do.. hahah ah they have to reveal it or be sued.. justice will be done.."

Scenario Two, supposed by the friends of IMA -->

Or did they just decide to send a letter one day.. "this will get them..."

Underling, "but boss, what if they find out there is no mention of the property at all in the files?" "What if they sue?"

Boss, "Silence varlet. Let your superiors hash out dastardly plans.. yours is but to take dictation and sharpen pencils."
