The crowd appeared to be much smaller than the 30,000 people the organizers had predicted

It was.. I figure maybe two to three thousand. They took up part of the 150x150' square.. maybe 200x200' at most...

But they were quite a vocal lot..

I hooked up with some Freepers over by the Capital and listened to Bob Dornan talk.. Here's a bit too conservative for me, but he's quite an extemporaneous and inspiring speaker..

Don't know if any of you have seen this website, but they have some great counter-protest material, much of which was on the billboards that were being carried.. (I confess, I held a couple of them myself.. :0)

Pretty good stuff on that site.. Check out their posters!!

I loved this one!!

And this one got a few reactions from the A.N.S.W.E.R crowd (who are decidedly marxists).. hehe

All in all a good time and I met some very interesting and knowlegable people..

And drank a few too many beers at the after protest party at the DC Hard Rock Cafe..
