The NRA is a ruthless, well-funded and somewhat evil force in America which will pump millions into defeating anyone who speaks out about gun control. John Kerry is a hunter, gun owner and marksman, but as for the rest, if you are pro gun control, the NRA will paper union workers with slander material about you and scare them into thinking you're going to confiscate their guns. In states like West Virginia, New Mexico, Arkansas, Colorado - key states - that could mean a lot.
