Of course not, but they do feed it. The "Hands on" management at the Networks and the main Newspapers feel exactly the same way about the war that you do. So go figure which will get stories get featured.

We are in the process of turning things over to the local Iraqis. When we do, we will get down to about 50K troops there. Should be close to it by this time next year. In the meantime, the Sunni locals that back Saddam and the Terrorists will continue to hit us. So it will be "Bitch, bitch, bitch," in the media.
