My primary care physician doesn't participate in any plan and I pay her out of pocket

You are facing the same problem my "Ex" is in California. Next spring she will lose her unbelievably generous Teacher's coverage and have to take medicare on. At that time She will be living in San Diego. Since she will be changing Doctors anyway, I advised her to join Kaiser down there. I really think the way to go, over 65, is to find a good HMO.

It will be very interesting to see how this new drug coverage, if passed, fits in. I know I will have to pay $35 a month more for it, and I figure with that and the Kaiser Coverage I will just about have free drugs. But there is a lot of details to be worked out.
