Dean's lead in NH down to 13% in new Globe poll today. Like I said, the Zogby poll showing him with a huge lead was a glitch. Calling 400 people an random sometimes gets funny results, like hitting the jackpot with a slot machine. If you average the last four October polls out, dean leads by 6%, 10%, 13% and 21% = 50 divided by 4 = 12.5%. So that's probably his real lead with 33% undecided and 70% of Dean voters also enthusiastically liking Kerry as well. Kerry can still win, tie or come in a close second. Unless Dean slaughters him in NH, Kerry will be fine. If Kerry wins however, Dean may be finished.

Dean has not beaten Clinton, Kerry and the Dems at anything yet. New Hampshire is his strognest state and just because it's the first primary doesn't mean it's very important. It's one of the smallest states in the union with very few delegates. And the delegates might support Kerry anyway. He has been endorsed by all Dem state senators and the the former Dem governor Jeane Shaheen is his co-chairman.
