I am not a swing-voter. I voted Clinton. I have always disliked Dole. He's a nicer guy now but he used to be the Tom Delay of the senate, Nixon's hatchet man. The only voters that really matter are swing-voters, and to most of them in 2004, military credentials DO matter, a lot. Of course if both candidates are draft-dodgers ---
