the problem is that it is a DISHONEST insurance company. An HONEST insurance company makes actuarially sound promises that it can keep. An HONEST insurance company does not dip into the surplus funds invested on behalf of the policyholders. Well said. If you get a chance, read "The Great Unraveling" for mind-boggling discussion of that. Krugman is an easy read, very conversational, but with facts. If you don't come away thinking the current gang running things in Washington aren't the worst liars in a century, please post here.
