Yes, 7 WTC was right across the street from the North Tower. When the North Tower came down at around 10:30am, it gouged the front out of 7 WTC, the remainder of which stood burning until shortly after 5:00pm that afternoon, when it finally collapsed

There's a building, US Customs House, and a street between the North Tower and building #7. For the north tower to have gouged building #7 at all it would have had to fall across the US Customs house #6, destroying it which did not happen, and across that street. Too many unexplained questions. And the press very suspiciously has not brought any of them up to the public.
